LexWork rides the bus

To gain firsthand insights into Lexington’s public transportation and its riders, LexWork held their meeting on the bus! One of the highlights from the ride along was the impromptu opportunity two of our members, Cary Plummer and David Boggs took to share employment resources with those on the bus. It was a great chance to connect with our community. The bus offers reliable transportation to many. If you or anyone you know need help planning your next ride, contact Emily Elliott at (859) 244-2018 or eelliott@lextran.com (Se Habla Español).

LexWork is scheduled to meet Feb. 13. For more information or to become involved, please contact Jeanette Hart.

Delightful door decorations!

Some of our Community Health Equity and Education team showcased their holiday creativity by decorating their office doors! Their colleagues voted on the display to select the best one. Thanks to Nancy Hiner, Tara Mason, Tami Ross and Rebekah Shoopman for participating, and congratulations to Erin Kelley for winning with her door inspired by A Christmas Story!

Andrew Ralston receives LFCHD’s 1st CARES Award

Andrew Ralston CARES 1

Andrew Ralston received our first-ever CARES Award, which is chosen by LFCHD employees and presented quarterly to someone who best exhibited one or more of our core values: Caring, Accountability, Respect, Equity and Service. Ralston, who works in IT, is “driven, self-confident, proactively helpful and smart,” an employee wrote in nominating him. “He “is accountable and takes ownership of mistakes and learns from them. (He) has respect for leadership and colleagues (and) is very honest, sometimes to a fault.” Join us in celebrating Andrew’s CARES Award and his role in helping Lexington be well!
